QuickLook plugin for MobileProvision: Mountain Lion ready.

Apple just shipped Mountain Lion on the Mac AppStore. I am glad to to tell you that the QuickLook plugin for MobileProvision files has been updated for this latest version of Mac OS.

The Release Notes of this version 1.2 can be shorten to: “Crash fix. One.“. Don’t expect new features, this is just the same useful plugin for an iOS developer.

If you did not heard about this plugin before reading this article, get an overview of its features, or learn how you can use the included command line tool.

I hope you will continue to enjoy it. Remember to share this link with your developer friends.

Have fun with the new big cat.

    Thanks, this plugin is great! A tiny feature request: it would be nice to be able to see what Entitlements are in the provision.

    I second John’s request and would add that I would love to also have an option in the CLI to show the developer certificates associated with the profile.

    @John & @Andy:
    Thank you :) Glad you like it.
    I will look into your feature request. I’m not sure if the Entitlements are in the mobile provision file.

    Weirdly, I’m unable to use v1.2 on Lion. quicklookd logs this when I try to quicklook a profile:

    11/30/12 3:10:08.218 PM quicklookd: [QL] Can’t load plug-in at file://localhost/Users/cbowns/Library/QuickLook/MobileProvision.qlgenerator/: The bundle “MobileProvision” couldn’t be loaded.

    I restored a copy of 1.1 from a backup and it seems to load and render fine. Dunno if you’ve had any other reports of this, but I’d be happy to help you track it down if you’re interested. My contact info is on my website: http://cbowns.com/contact/
